Four Mountain Plovers, cont. Tennessee
We just had the continuing Tennessee Warbler that I saw about a week ago in Montgomery Waller Park in Otay Mesa. Same couple trees that it was in before, which is the peppers and tipu near the swings and bathrooms at the Northeast part of the park, in the exact same trees the magnolia warbler wintered about 5 years ago. And Andrew and Vernon Howe report that there are now four Mountain Plovers at the sod farm in the TRV, but very difficult to spot given one has to scope from the edge, like one did with the buff breasted a while ago, and they are sometimes on sod but sometimes sitting down in furrows in the big dirt fields which make them extremely difficult to see.
