Fiesta Island, Crown Point–Longspurs a plenty, 07 Dec 2020

Fiesta Island dog run the THICK-BILLED LONGSPUR (formerly known as McCown's Longspur, still such in eBird) continues in the north barren area of the fenced dog run with Horned Larks.  Also in the same location two CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR seen together.  All three longspurs quite tame and I got lots of nice close photos in great morning light with cloud cover.

Stopped at Crown Point east side and picked up one LAPLAND LONGSPUR in the usual area of short turf grass south of the basketball courts.
