During the RSF CBC yesterday I found a Lewis’s Woodpecker and 3 Purple Finches at Felicita Park in Escondido. The woodpecker was in the wedding gazebo area. The Purple Finches were feeding on a toyon bush along the blocked off road south of the entrance. PUFI have not been very common this winter, at least so far. And as noted elsewhere, by far the most common bird seen was the American Robin.
