Program: Birding Fast and Slow, Alvaro Jamarillo There is perhaps no activity as complete as birding, in that it can be enjoyed in a multitude of ways, by essentially every type of person. There is a lot to birding, and perhaps what we forget is that it makes us privileged to become connected with nature. This connection is not only fun, it is vital, and it is absolutely wonderful for your health. Come see how, and why this is.

Topic: Argentina – Bottom to Top! In 2019, Nancy Christensen and her husband Russ visited a few select areas of Argentina. Following their trip to Antarctica, Nancy and Russ stayed a few extra days to explore Argentina. They saw 182 species of birds in that short week. They were impressed with the wide diversity of habitats and life contained within this country. Five days was not enough to satisfy, but was enough to build a desire to return and see more of this lovely country!

SDFO Meeting – Year in Review

It's our annual Holiday Party.  In lieu of a face-to-face get-together, we will again be having a virtual celebration.  Nancy Christensen will present an overview of the birds seen around the county this past year.  Afterwards, we would like YOU to speak up and tell us briefly your most memorable birding experience in the past twelve months.  Let's share our love of birds this holiday season!
