Eastern Phoebe, Lapland Longspur, and other stuff in TRV
10:27 am
Friday morning just a little after 10:00 a.m. I had an Eastern Phoebe along Monument Road in the TRV basically right where the Thick billed Kingbird has been turning up from time to time lately. It was on lower branches of pepper trees and on sticks sticking out of ice plant next to the “Horse Land” boarding sign which is 2454 Monument. Elsewhere in the TRV this morning I had a new Lapland Longspur but on private property. A White winged Dove was along Hollister bordering the Community Gardens, a female Vermilion flycatcher continues sporadically at the Sunset ball fields, the Plumbeous Vireo continues in the B&B, and the strange-looking leucistic Killdeer continues in dirt fields along Saturn Boulevard.
