Doyle Park, 10/01, Yellow-green Vireo and others
First of all, when I left at 3:45, the Yellow-green Vireo, which perched up for great views, but bad light for photo's, had just flown out of sight. There were 6 of us who saw this bird while I was there. The bird was in the same fig as described before, between the baseball diamond and basketball court in that Northwest Corner of Doyle park. All birds mentioned below were in this same general area.
Other birds seen, The Dickcissel, flew from the field into the Vireo's favorite tree, along with a Brewer's Sparrow, and a Western Tanager. There was a Vesper Sparrow right behind us by the right field side gate, up against the fence and as always, it was very fun to see a little Blue-gray Gnatcatcher near the tree's right behind the back stop.
