Continuing Ovenbird

12:06 pm

The Ovenbird at Point Loma Nazarene University in the myoporum grove continued through a fair chunk of the morning but plays hide and seek and is often partially or mostly obscured as it walks around on the ground and will disappear for fairly lengthy periods of time. It’s favorite area tended to be adjacent to the north end of the cement lined culvert where there’s a black plastic venting pipe sticking out of the ground and west of that a red Cheez-It box. But it would also be seen south of that 60 ft or so and also just north of that. Patience is the name of the game! Also, several hundred yards north of there near the child care building was a singing cassin’s vireo.
