Continuing Greater Pewee at Balboa Park, Thursday October 29, 12:10 PM

The Greater Pewee continues at Balboa Park at the spot where Jim Pawliki originally found it. Patrick Shipley located the bird at the top of the right-most dead pine just off the footpath at 32.7335,-117.15805 next to a concrete and cobble culvert draining toward the canyon. The bird was found and observed for several minutes at 12:10 PM on October 29. Patrick got several photos, one of which shows the bird about to land on the snag with a large butterfly in its bill.
