Continuing downtown & Coronado rarities

8:03 am

On Friday the 1st, the Chestnut sided Warbler continues to be easy to find at the northeast corner of the main square and Pantoja Park in downtown San Diego. I was very happy to see the bird mercilessly and repeatedly chasing a Yellow rumped warbler out of its favorite couple trees. Turnabout is fair play! Nearby, the adult male American Redstart continues at Seaport Village in the ficus trees in the parking lot at the end of Kettner. And in Coronado, the White winged Scoter continues. As has been the case as of late,  best observed from the Harbor View Park parcel at the end of I Avenue. Today, the bird was just to the southeast of the park.
