Coastal Black-throated Sparrow (Sep 17, 2020)
Adding on to the fall glut of desert dispersals to the coast, I found a juvenile BLACK-THROATED SPARROW around 9:30am at the N end of Lake Murray Blvd this morning (Thu, 9/17/20). It was foraging in the open by the curb beneath the white wooden fence at the end of the road.
FYI – on google maps this is the Mesa Road Trailhead, at the E edge of Mission Trails near Grossmont College. Not that far as the sparrow flies from where Dan Jehl found one last week.
