Chestnut-collared, lingering flycatchers, Palm Warblers
On Monday morning, the dullish Chestnut-collared Longspur present almost a week now at Fiesta Island continues. Today with Horned larks due west of the three eucalyptus trees in the dog run. Also a Vesper Sparrow in this same area. A slightly late Western Kingbird continues on Point Loma.On Sunday, there were single Palm Warblers in Coronado and at the TRV Community Gardens, a female Vermilion flycatcher at the Nasni golf course edge, and a Pacific Golden-Plover at Naval Outlying Field, which is probably one of the two birds wintering at the nearby Tijuana estuary.Over the weekend in the county there were still at least six Western Wood-Pewees reported, and even more surprising were three separate photographed Willow Flycatchers, all quite late.Paul Lehman, San DiegoSent from the all new AOL app for Android
