Hello all,The two spring 10-12 hour pelagic trips are Saturday, May 14., and Sunday, June 12th.These trips will explore the area’s ocean to the far southwestern portion of San Diego county, and may briefly enter L.A. co. Both trips have limited space available aboard the 80ft. Legacy out of Seaforth Sportfishing landing in Mission Bay.Trip details and expected and possible species can be seen at www.sandiegopelagics.com .This is a good time of year to see local Ashy Storm-Petrel, Scripps’s Murrelets, and perhaps a slightly better chance of an albatross, or South Polar Skua. The June trip might even have an outside possibility for an early Cook’s Petrel, or Craveri’s Murrelet. Who knows we are still learning about these rarely visited watersSpring trips have also produced a number of interesting large whale species, though not our primary target, hard to miss these giants.I hope you will join us on these adventures. You can book at http://www.sdwhale.com. or call Seaforth Landing at 619 224-3383.For those of you signed onto the Saturday May 14th. trip. Please be at the landing by 6:15 a.m. Parking is free. Be sure you are in the Seaforth Landing’s parking lot, or on the street. Other marina, or conference center lots may tow vehicles parked there.Check into the Seaforth office after 6 a.m.( that lets the fishing guys clear out ), but before 6:30 a.m. Then find us on the patio area between the building and the docks, for manifest sign in and orientation. The boat will load about 6:45 and depart at  7 a.m. sharp.Wishing you great spring birding,Dave PoveySan Diego Pelagics
