Broad-winged Hawk in Mission Valley

Earlier this afternoon I was surprised to see an apparently adult Broad-winged Hawk in the FSDRIP revegetation area in Mission Valley. It was sitting conspicuously on a snag on the north side of the San Diego River between Camino del Este and Qualcomm Way, directly above the pedestrian/bike path, then flew to the south side of the river.
