Black-throated Sparrow, Walker Preserve Santee

At about 0830 Thursday September 1, 2022, there was a juvenile Black-throated Sparrow along the eastern end of the Walker Preserve Trail that follows the San Diego River in Santee.  Mostly gray sparrow brownish back, bold white supercilium and throat, finely streaked breast, and black tail with white edges.  The exact location was north of the trail and west of the Pepper Tree picnic area and partially-burnt cholla patch, approximately N32.851285 W116.956484.Jeremiah StockSantee, CAjscls@…
