Black-throated Green Warbler in Sorrento Valley

11:23 am

This morning, Sunday, there’s a new Black-throated Green Warbler in Sorrento Valley. It is unfortunately in a tipu courtyard at a business park where adjoining areas are fenced security areas, and which overall is periodically patrolled by a security service. Thus, a fair number of binocular- and camera- wielding birders standing around would likely cause problems at some point. Thus, I will probably not advertise it, but will give it some thought and see if there is any way to get access for some but not jeopardize overall future access. Basically, I think I would try to limit it to folks who need it for their 5MR or all-time county list–which should be extremely few folks. Sorry. But it is just one of those places….
