Baja California fishing trip birds
I am just off a 7 day fishing trip that spent most of the time in Mexican waters, but the last day in California waters above the border.
Once we were within 22 n. miles of San Diego, but on the Mexican side of the line.
Birding, at times, was very good, and as usual there were dead times.

Black-footed Albatross 60+ ( every kelp paddy had multiple BFAL . One kelp had 22, another 14, 0ne at 8 and another 6. These birds feeding on, and fighting over long strings of flying fish eggs that were attached
to the floating kelp).
