Another Encinitas Palm Warbler, Nov 8, 2018
This morning at about 9 am, while conducting a bird survey, a Palm Warbler was seen on private property at the Coastal Roots Farm property along the Pe'ah Trail in the Food Forest area, first spotted by Eve Martin. This differed from the Palm Warbler seen not far way, at the adjacent San Diego Botanic Garden, on October 5, 2018, which was more brightly colored, and had a more rufous crown and slightly more yellow on the underparts. It is hoped that in the future, the Pe'ah Trail will become open to the public and available for birders, but for now, as the Food Forest matures, there is no public access.
