alternate pipit spots
While I was dictating my previous message the pipit flock that had totaled exactly 20 birds departed the school field, as I was looking at my phone so I don't know where they went, leaving just one bird behind. We were never able to figure out in past years where this particular flock goes when it's not there, but one place that often has pipits and may or may not be the same birds is the high school ball fields that one can view from the very bottom, south end of Nestor Park through the fence. Another option is the dirt fields along Saturn Avenue south of Leon and before the river crossing.
