A dozen White-fronted Geese at San Dieguito Rd., Horse Pastures, Scripps Ranch

Midday today there were at least 12 Greater White-fronted Geese at this location, up from the previous count of 8 seen by Dan King on Feb 9, but far less than the large number  (59) of these geese spotted at Lake Henshaw by Tito Gonzales last fall on Sept 29.  I hope this bodes well for the population.  They were in flooded fields just east of the main buildings of the Gates' horse farm, just east of the overlook.
