2 White-throated Sparrows on the North end of PT. Loma College, 4/22.

This morning, 4/22, I went to the North end of Pt. Loma College to see the White-throated Sparrow.  It was the first bird I saw and soon after, started singing like crazy.  2 or 3 times, I could have swore there were two of them and then they were both on the ground.  If you pass the house with the feeders, (description will be below), you then look back and there is a bowl of bird food on the ground, not quite in the actual yard.  Anyhow, while looking back, there is a Jade plant and I had one bird on the side with the bowl, and 1 on the dirt path, both very very viewable at the same time.  I do have pics of both birds and will upload them to e-bird when my camera uploads are done.  Birds were distinguished by the bright yellow lores and large bright white throat patch, bordered in black. Also seen today was the continuing Palm Warbler, very actively pumping its tail in the small Star Pine in front of the day care center, just off the path.  Lastly, I had what looked like a female Calliope Hummingbird on the Madera’s closest to the Garden St. Gate.Mark StrattonNorth Park
